I feel like I can go ages without spending any money, but this is not one of those times! I recently had a huge beauty and fashion splurge and spent far too much money on some pretty things but I wanted to wait a while before sharing them with you so I can give a little bit of a review and let you know my thoughts.
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief - £34
As you may have noticed from my previous posts, I've recently been loving Clinique's skincare range. I typically have dry-combination skin, but lately I've had extremely dry patches on my face that just won't shift. I absolutely love the formula of this product; it's an oil free gel and it feels so light on the skin, suitable to wear under or over makeup. I've been using this and the next product for around a week now and I can see and feel a huge difference in my skin. Admittedly this is a pricey product, and a fair but more than I would typically pay for skincare, but the price is 100% justified. It's fabulous quality and a tiny bit goes a really long way, so I know that this will last me a long time!
Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask - £30
I've been using this in place of a night cream, and the combined effects of the overnight mask and the previous moisturiser have been incredible! Like the Thirst Relief cream, the mask is oil free, so although it is a powerful cream, my skin still feels clean and fresh in the morning, and it never leaves an oily residue. I'd really recommend this to anyone who is experiencing dry skin; mine had completely cleared up within four days of using these two products and you definitely get what you pay for.
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in 'Soft and Gentle' - £23
Surprisingly, I've managed to last twenty three years without ever using either a highlighter or one single Mac product! I know that's pretty shocking for a blogger, and now I can finally say that I completely understand the hype. This highlight is absolutely stunning, it looks so pretty on the skin and gives you a lovely glow, making your skin look so much healthier and more alive - perfect for those mornings when you wake up feeling like you didn't sleep the night before.

Mac Lipstick in 'Viva Glam II' - £15.50
For my first Mac lipstick, I wanted something quite neutral to make sure that I got as much wear out of it as possible, so I decided to try 'Velvet Teddy' after hearing so many other bloggers rave about it. It always looks gorgeous on everyone I've seen wear it, so I was convinced it would be perfect for me. However, when the lady on the Mac counter tried it on me, it didn't suit me at all - it was far too nude for my skin colouring and made me look so washed out. The next one we tried was the
and it's perfect! It's very similar to 'Velvet Teddy' but has a slightly more pink undertone so it's perfect to fair girls like me. I love how this feels on my lips and the colour lasts forever. It may be my first Mac lipstick but it certainly won't be my last!
Soap and Glory Brow Tint and Pencil in 'Love is Blonde' - £10 at Boots
Although I've been a fan of Soap and Glory skincare products for a long time, this is the first of their makeup line that I've tried. I typically use brow powder, but the combination of the pencil and the felt tip work so perfectly for a naturally flawless finish. It's perfect for filling in any sparse patches and neatening the overall look of your brows, and although it isn't advertised as waterproof, I find it lasts all day without needing to touch up.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque Liquid Lipstick in '1' - £8.99 at Boots
After lusting over this every time a YouTuber or blogger mentioned it, I finally added one to my collection! The thing I love most about these lipsticks is the amazing range of shades; the neutrals separated into warm and cool tones, with three neutral shades within each, so there's definitely one for everyone. For me its the perfect balance between lipstick and lipgloss, as it has the easy application of lipgloss, but the staying power and coverage of lipstick.
Bourjois Paris ColourBoost Lip Crayon in 'Peach on the Beach' - £7.99 at Boots
I already have a couple of other shades in this lip crayon and I absolutely love them! The formula is great, it's not at all sticky on the lips but it's still moisturising and long lasting. The colour is buildable and fades evenly so you don't have to worry about constantly topping up your lippy. This shade is such a pretty, bright pink that is perfect for spring. It's slightly too pink for my complexion if applied to full coverage, but a thinner coat looks lovely.
