Spring is definitely my favourite season to experiment with makeup, and as the weather likes to change so quickly here in England, I wanted to create something that would look great come rain or shine, that's subtle enough to wear during the day, but will also look pretty on an evening.
I wanted to mainly focus on the eyes, and create a slightly smokey effect that still flatters my fair skin and light blue eyes, as it's lighter than a traditional smokey eye, it's perfect for the spring - creating depth and impact while still keeping the eye area bright and fresh.

Base
For this look I wanted it to look as though I wasn't wearing foundation, and that I just naturally had flawless skin (if only!), so I just applied a very light layer of the Clinique Supermoisture Makeup to even out my skin tone and cover any redness and blemishes. Because the foundation is such build-able coverage, it's perfect for a really light, natural look. I then took the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes and along the bridge of my nose to lightly highlight and brighten those areas. To finish off the base, I just set the foundation and concealer with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
Brows
I have just recently had my brows waxed and tinted, so I didn't have to do too much to them for this look, I filled in any gaps and emphasised my arch with the Soap and Glory Archery pen, and set them in place with the Maybelline Brow Drama.
Eyes
As I said before, I wanted this look to be all about the eyes, so I really focused on creating definition and a smokey effect that would compliment my blue eyes and fair skin. The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is perfect for anyone with a similar complexion to me, and the colours really compliment lighter hair and eye colours. There is a mixture of warm and cool tones in the palette, but i find that the cool tones compliment my eyes much better, so I created a taupe and copper toned smokey eye that is perfect for a spring evening. I started off with the lightest colour, Strange, and took that all over my lid, right up to my brow bone, and into the inner corners. I then used Nooner and Factory along the crease and outer corners to give depth and definition, and to smoke out the corners even more I took both Mugshot and Darkside right into the outer corners, and blended it all out with a big fluffy brush.
For liner, I've been loving the LOreal Super Liner - it's a felt tip style pen, and the long, fine nib makes it so easy to create the perfect line - and I completely suck at liquid liner! As always, on my lashes its Benefit's They're Real!
Cheeks
Because this is a spring/summer look, I used the Rimmel natural bronzer along my jawline, temples and cheeks just to add a bit of colour to my face, and the light pink cream blush from Maybelline just gives a really natural, pretty glow. I then swept the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish across the tops of my cheekbones, along my brow bones and anywhere the sun would naturally hit.
Lips
To compliment the eyes, I went for a cool toned nude that is the perfect 'your lips but better' if you have blue undertones in your skin like I do - it's Viva Glam II by Mac.
