As I mentioned in my previous skincare post, I've been trying lots of new products lately to hopefully improve the feel and appearance of my skin, which has been completely battered by cold weather and central heating. In terms of skincare, I wanted to clear my skin as much as possible without any irritation, add moisture and leave it feeling soft and supple, and soften my lips, and I've really noticed good results from all of these products.
Simple | Regeneration Age-Resisting Night Cream
Yes, at 23 years of age, I'm officially using anti-aging cream... I'm not too sure how good the age-resisting properties are in this moisturiser but it's definitely my current favourite night cream. It's much lighter than others that I've tried and its perfect for when my skin is breaking out because it doesn't clog your pores or feel oily on the skin.
St. Ives | Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub
I try to use an exfoliator at least twice a week, and this scrub is brilliant at clearing your pores and getting rid of any dead skin on your face. My skin definitely feels bright, clean and soft after I've used it, and the effects usually last a couple of days. In terms of blemish fighting, I haven't noticed a difference on existing spots, by my skin overall feels much clearer, and as an added bonus it smells absolutely divine!
Clinique | Liquid Facial Soap
Along with my Sonic System (would you like to see a separate review on that?) that I received for my birthday, I also got the Clinque 3-step skin pack for dry-combination skin which includes this cleanser. This is one that I'd really recommend to anyone with sensitive or spot prone skin, as its such a mild, gentle cleanser that is still really effective. I've noticed a difference in the amount of redness and discolouration on my face as my skin tone seems to be much more even, and any spots from allergies or irritation from other products have cleared up too.
Blistex | Relief Cream
I went through a stage where my lips were constantly chapped and nothing I used seemed to make any difference at all. I've been applying a thick layer of this every night and always wake up with soft, moisturised lips - heaven! You can apply a thin coat during the day, but it has quite a strong taste to it so definitely one to avoid around meal times. It is a very strong product so be sure to test it on your skin first if you're prone to sensitivity, but if like me, this weather has left your lips feeling sore I couldn't recommend this enough.
