Recently I've tried so many amazing drugstore makeup products that give such a lovely finish, and several that rival high end brands, and these are the ones I've been loving lately that all cost £10 or under.
Base
I really struggle to find a good foundation because I am so so pale, so I usually have to go with the lightest shade and apply a thin layer mixed with moisturiser, or a buildable coverage. The Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse has an amazing shade range and the coverage is light-medium. Because it's a mousse formula, it blends really well into your skin and is great for evening out skin tones and creates the perfect 'your skin but better' look. It's perfect for summer as it gives a completely matte finish so there's no need to powder too, which is also great if you're on a budget as it's pretty much powder and foundation in one.
For concealer, I absolutely love the Rimmel Wake Me Up as it's so creamy and blends brilliantly into your skin, so if you're not used to using a concealer this one is a great one to try. It's perfect for under your eyes and along the bridge of your nose for that bright, contoured look.
The Barry M Afterglow bronzer is the perfect mix between matte and shimmer, as it has a very subtle shimmer running through it that's pretty enough on its own, but also works well with a highlight without looking like you've emptied a pot of glitter on your face! Although the bronzers are labeled as light and dark, I feel like they're more cool and warm, with the light being the warmer of the two, so I'd definitely recommend swatching them before you buy.
Maybelline's Dream Touch Blush works perfectly with the foundation, and it really warms up to your skin to give an even, natural look. In summer I find that a cream blush lasts much longer than powder, and it's easier to apply on the go.
Eyes
L'Oreal Super Liner
If you're new to liquid liner or just struggle to apply it in a straight line like I do, this would be perfect for you! It's more like a felt tip rather than liquid so you never have the issue of applying too much product and it smudging - it dries quickly too so it doesn't print on your eyelids if you open your eyes too soon. I love how easy this is to apply, and it lasts all day too.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara
I always find it hard to find a true waterproof mascara but this one certainly passed the test - it lasts all day without smudging so it's perfect for summer. I don't find that it gives my lashes tons of length but it is really volumising and it's a true dramatic black.
Maybelline Brow Drama
I've loved this product for quite a while now, but recently tried the Benefit Gimme Brow, and expected that I'd fall in love with that instead, but in terms of value for money Maybelline wins every time. You get so much product for your money (75ml against Benefit's 15ml for £18.50), and the shade range is pretty impressive for a drugstore/budget product. I haven't tried any of the shades with a pigment in as I just use the transparent, but it holds your brows in place and gives a really polished look to your eyes, perfect for when you're due a brow wax!
Lips
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick
For me this is the perfect nude/your lips but better colour, and the formula of the lipsticks are so creamy and moisturising - they remind me of the Mac cremesheen but at a fraction of the price. Because it's so moisturising, I don't find it to be the longest lasting lipstick I've ever used, but the colour fades evenly and the initial pigmentation is good.
Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon
If you're not used to using lipsticks, this is a great hybrid of lipstick and lip balm as the crayon shape makes it so easy to apply even on the go without a mirror, but it has better colour payoff than tinted lip balms. I also love the bright colour range that's available, the shade 'Orange Punch' is perfect with a tan!
Bourjois Rouge Edition
I know that I've mentioned these lipsticks before in blog posts but they're my current favourite by a really long stretch! I just think that the formula is amazing, it makes application so easy and precise, you can build up the colour payoff and they last so long without leaving your lips feeling dry.
